Enter balances and transactions manually
Create the accounts you want to plan with, enter a current balance, and add individual transactions without granting a bank-data provider access.
Manual control | Included on Rubato Free
Start with the data you choose. Enter accounts and transactions manually or privately import CSV, OFX, and QFX statement exports, then plan irregular income without linking a financial institution.
Choose how data enters the plan
Manual entry and statement imports lead to the same reviewable transaction history. Neither workflow requires connected-bank sync.
Create the accounts you want to plan with, enter a current balance, and add individual transactions without granting a bank-data provider access.
Choose a CSV, OFX, or QFX file exported by your bank or card issuer. Rubato reads the selected file in your browser.
Check parsed dates, amounts, descriptions, transfer handling, and possible duplicates. Save only the transactions you confirm.
Use confirmed income and spending with current balances, dated bills, and expected income to build an irregular-income baseline and forward cash-flow view.
Supported statement formats
Each import is limited to 2 MB and 2,000 rows. PDF statements are not supported. Review the parsed transactions before saving them.
| Format | Typical use | What you confirm |
|---|---|---|
| CSV | Spreadsheet-style transaction export | Confirm the date, amount, description, and account mapping |
| OFX | Open Financial Exchange statement export | Review parsed transactions and account details |
| QFX | Quicken-compatible statement export | Review parsed transactions and account details |
Clear privacy and product boundaries
Rubato saves transactions you confirm, not the source statement file. Connected-bank synchronization remains available on paid plans if you later decide that convenience is worth adding.
